(NSI News Source Info) TORONTO, Canada - June 30, 2011: Force Protection Industries, Inc., a FORCE PROTECTION, INC. (NASDAQ:FRPT) group company, today announced it has received two awards totaling $71.3 million.

The first award is a firm fixed price modification under contract W56HZV-08-C-0028 totaling $63.8 million from U.S. Army Contracting Command for delivery of 56 Buffalo Mine Protected Clearance Vehicles. Work will be performed in Ladson and is expected to begin in January 2012 and be completed by July 31, 2012.

The second award is a $7.5 million firm-fixed-price modification under previously awarded contract M67854-07-D-5031 for a six-month renewal of 55 Field Service Representatives (FSRs) to conduct general maintenance and upgrade operations on Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles. Work will be performed in overseas theaters of operation, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2011.

(NSI News Source Info) TORONTO, Canada - June 29, 2011: The U.S. Department of Defense issued/notification # 564 dated June 29, 2011 released indicates Oshkosh Corp., Oshkosh, Wis., was awarded a $218,685,646 firm-fixed-price contract. The award will provide for the procurement of 400 Mine Resistant Ambush Protected All-Terrain Vehicle with underbody improvement kits. Work will be performed in Oshkosh, Wis., with an estimated completion date of June 30, 2012. One bid was solicited, with one bid received.

(NSI News Source Info) TORONTO, Canada - June 10, 2011: The U.S. Department of Defense issued/notification # 495 dated June 10, 2011 released indicates Navistar Defense, LLC, Warrenville, Ill., is being awarded a $357,112,582 firm-fixed-priced delivery order 0019 under previously awarded contract (M67854-07-D-5032) for the procurement of 471 MaxxPro Dash vehicles.

Work will be performed in West Point, Miss., and is expected to be completed by the end of September 2011. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Va., is the contracting activity.

The MaxxPro Dash DXM™ is a lighter, smaller, and more mobile variant of our MaxxPro Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) family of vehicles. The DXM independent suspension is a no-compromise solution, allowing ease of integration and installation. The suspension solution increases payload, offers a 54ft turning radius, and central tire inflation system (CTIS). The Dash maintains the survivability system used on all MaxxPro MRAP variants while also allowing for greater mobility optimized for Afghanistan operations.

(NSI News Source Info) TORONTO, Canada - May 17, 2011: The U.S. Department of Defense issued/notification # 411 dated May 16, 2011 to Navistar Defense, LLC, Warrenville, Ill., and awarded $18,638,750 delivery order #0018, modification #0001, under previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (M67854-07-D-5032) for the procurement of 250 MaxxPro Dash ambulance engineering change proposals (ECP) and Dash Phase IV ECPs.

Ambulance vehicles provide mobile and survivable ambulatory care for injured servicemen in theater. Work will be performed in Afghanistan, and is expected to be completed by the end of September 2011. Contract funds in will not expire by the end of the current fiscal year. The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Va., is the contracting activity.

Navistar Defense has announced on May 5, 2011 in conjunction with aforementioned DoD contract that it received a $183 million delivery order for 250 International® MaxxPro® Dash ambulances with DXM™ independent suspension. The order from the U.S. Marine Corps Systems Command for Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles falls under the company’s existing indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity contract and is Navistar’s ninth major MRAP variant.
