Oprah Winfrey: 'I'm Not A Lesbian'

Billionaire Oprah Winfrey has dismissed claims that she is in a lesbian relationship with her long-term friend Gayle King.

In an interview with Barbara Walters for the ABC special Oprah: The Next Chapter, the talkshow host shut down rumours.

Winfrey explained: "I'm not lesbian... I'm not even kind of lesbian. And the reason it irritates me is because it means that somebody must think I'm lying.

"That's number one. Number two... why would you want to hide it [if it was true]? That's not the way I run my life."

Oprah also described her friendship with King.

"She is the mother I never had, she is the sister everybody would want. She is the friend that everybody deserves," she emotionally told Walters.

"I don't know a better person."

Janet Jackson Furious With Oprah

Janet Jackson is said to be "furious" with Oprah Winfrey for interviewing her brother Michael's children on her chatshow, claiming Oprah used her family to increase the programme's ratings.

A source revealed to the National Enquirer: "Janet is furious. She thinks Oprah took advantage of Michael's children for TV ratings. Janet told her Michael would be heartsick that Oprah used his kids as pawns.

"The two women had a blistering blow-up during a telephone call on the day that the show was taped. When Oprah made it clear that she was going ahead with the interview, Janet screamed, 'Oprah, you make me sick!'"

The insider continued: "Janet is closer to Tyler, and Oprah knows it. Now Janet is threatening to use that friendship to get back at Oprah. Janet has let Oprah know that Tyler has been very candid about sharing Oprah's secrets with her - and Oprah's definitely got secrets. Janet is so outraged that she's not above getting back at Oprah by spreading those secrets."
