Lily Allen To Try For A Baby In The New Year

The singer's sister Sarah Owen has revealed that Allen is keen to get pregnant with boyfriend Sam Cooper early next year.

Owen told The Mirror newspaper, "Lily hasn't been in a great place, but she's getting there. It's been a long, hard road. She is in the country with her boyfriend and doing wholesome things. They're going to start trying [for a baby] in the New Year."

"New Year, new start. Losing the baby has totally devastated her, she's still grieving. I didn't realise the impact something like this could have on someone, and as a sister it has been painful to watch.

She continued, "Lily won't let this stop her - she is absolutely determined to be a mum. This is what she wants more than anything in the whole wide world, more than her singing career. It's always been her dream."

Allen suffered her first miscarriage in 2008 when dating Chemical Brothers singer Ed Simons.

Lily Allen Not Retiring From Music

In an interview with The Guardian Newspaper, Lily Allen spoke out about reports of her retiring from the music industry.

"I never really said I was retiring - that's not really a word that I ever really used. But how I feel right now is just not to be writing music, and not to be going on the road. Because of piracy there has been a massive downturn in people buying music, which makes it more difficult for artists to make money from the sale of records" she explained.

"So what happens is you make money from touring - and that's all very well if you really enjoy touring. But personally - well, with the thought of little kids running around that doesn't really work for me."

Lily Allen Treated For Septicaemia


Sad week for Lily Allen. The star returned back to hospital with blood poisoning days after her second miscarriage.

The 25-year-old singer's spokesman confirmed in a statement this afternoon that Lily is responding well to septicaemia.

"Lily Allen is back in hospital, where she is being treated for septicaemia. She is responding well to treatment and her condition continues to improve. Lily thanks everyone for their messages of support and again asks that she and partner Sam Cooper be left alone while she recovers."

Allen showed appreciation and concerns on twitter last night saying: "I'm still very sick but the messages are helping me to be stronger. Thank you xx."
