Selena Gomez went to the hospital after feeling nauseous while on 'The Tonight Show.'There was nothing funny about what happened after Selena Gomez's appearance on "The Tonight Show" alongside Jim Carrey.
After the actors were amusingly interviewed on Thursday's episode by host Jay Leno, Gomez was rushed to the hospital.
Though it wasn't in any way apparent during the show, Gomez felt ill throughout her appearance.
"Last night after Selena's appearance on 'The Tonight Show,' she wasn't feeling well and was taken to the hospital," her rep told People.com. "She is currently undergoing routine tests."
According to TMZ.com, the 18-year-old had a severe headache and was feeling nauseous.
Both gossip sites further reported that Gomez was set to appear at Santa Monica Place, a mall in Los Angeles, on Friday night, but the event has been canceled.
Gomez seemed as happy as ever on "Tonight," where she chatted with Leno about her career as Carrey cracked jokes.
Leno even managed to get in a question about the starlet's beau, Justin Bieber, asking if he had met her mom yet. Gomez confirmed that he had.
"He passed the test," she said with a smile.
The hashtag "#getwellselena" quickly became a trending topic on Twitter Friday as word of Gomez's illness spread.
